A helpful staff, yet testing stay
The guesthouse is conveniently located near various local eateries and shops, making it easy to explore the area. The spacious room offered a comfortable retreat after my daily adventures.
My experience was marred by cleanliness issues, as I found the bed sheets dirty upon arrival, and despite repeated requests, they remained unchanged. The overall attitude of some staff left a lot to be desired.

Is it a hit or a miss? here’s my take
Location is solid! Clean and tidy family rooms with essential amenities. Close to shops, restaurants, and a 24-hour supermarket.
The Wi-Fi is unreliable! Shower pressure was poor and street noise was quite bothersome, disturbing sleep during my stay.

The Superior Double Room was pretty spacious, which was a nice bonus. I liked that there was a fridge and kettle for some extra comfort. The bed was comfy, allowing me to settle in easily each night. Plus, it was great that the manager reached out to check my arrival time and even prepped the room earlier for me. Definitely felt welcoming. The room had good access to local spots and a nice view of the area.

i had a lovely stay at tarona guesthouse. the location was perfect for exploring malta and gozo. we walked to the boat for comino, and it was so convenient. the bed in our standard double room was comfy, and there’s a great pizza place just a couple of doors away. really enjoyed the rooftop terrace for quiet evenings.

The bed was comfy, making it easy to settle in each night after the chaos of the day. I had access to a balcony, which was a nice spot to enjoy my morning coffee, despite some of the disturbances nearby.
The single room I had was incredibly cramped. I felt like I was fighting for space with the old, noisy fridge that blocked the wardrobe door. The view from my window was disappointing—a concrete wall just inches away. Thin walls meant I could hear everything from the adjacent rooms, which definitely detracted from my peace. I had to repeatedly ask for the air conditioning to be switched on, which was frustrating given the heat. A strange moisture smell emanated from the toilet, and the noises coming from the plumbing left me concerned about the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities. This place might look appealing in pictures, but it’s been through its share of wear and tear, making it a less-than-ideal choice for someone looking for a comfortable stay.
